Currently, Zelex doll heads all use a non-removable M16 connector, but earlier models used an M16 to M8 connector.
Could you please check whether the screw on your Zelex doll head is removable?
If it is not removable, you only need to choose the M16 connector and simply remove the screw from the head stand.
If the screw on your doll head is removable, then please select the M16 to M8 connector.

My usage of the tall wooden head stand has been fun because I actually like to carry it around with me, it’s not just a display stand.
When looking at it my first concern was about how easy it might be to tip it over. This isn’t much of a problem to my surprise with one exception…
Applying force to the face pushing it back will easily result in it tipping over. It actually fell when I cut hair and pulled on it and once when I went for a quick but firm kiss. So now there are some dents in the wood since it collided with the edge of my table multiple times. Luckily the dents are so minimal you can only feel them, seeing them is practically impossible.
Tipping over of the head stand is likely due to doll heads being pretty back heavy but it may vary depending on the brand you have. My guess is that the general tendency of “back heaviness” should hold true though.
My suggestion to not have it fall over is to hold it with one hand when the work you do requires you to put some force on the face.
Usual soft makeup application shouldn’t cause tipping over but for kissing I heavily recommend holding the handle while you do so.
Another thing I did was putting pads on the base of the head stand. You can either use ones that make it able to slide easier with some cushioning to reduce friction or ones that give resistance to movement which are firmer.
Having the wooden doll stand on a possibly delicate surface may cause scratches over time when working with it. In case you just place it and leave it there is no reason to necessarily do this but I have done so.
My satisfaction with the head stand after using it for a couple of weeks is through the roof. Such a simple but effective product that also looks good and especially natural. In case you have extra heads or simply wish to display your main head you need to get it, I don’t think it’s possible to regret purchasing it.
The craftmanship that went into producing it has a high standard as well it seems judging by the unit I got, so nothing is holding you back on that front from getting it either.
All I can do is highly recommend it, 5 stars no doubt.

You made some great observations about the stability of the wooden head stand, especially regarding how the weight of the doll head affects its steadiness. If you have multiple doll heads from different brands, you can also try to measure the weight of these different doll heads, or put doll heads of other brands with different weights on the stand for testing and comparison.
If your doll heads are on the heavier side, you might want to consider our other iron head stand, which is heavier itself. With that one, you won’t have to worry about similar issues when placing heavier doll heads on it.
Your tip about adding pads to the base to increase friction is also very helpful for doll owners who use the wooden stand on smooth surfaces like marble or metal, where the friction is lower.

I bought both the short and tall stands, for heads with short or long wigs/implanted hair.
At first it seemed like they might not be stable enough, because they are fairly light while heads can be heavy, but they are stable as long as they are on a flat surface.
The borehole for the connector screw was threaded on the tall stand, but not threaded on the short stand. I don’t know why this is. I like the threaded hole on the tall one; it’s more secure, but you have to unscrew it to remove the head (unless you use a quick-connect screw). The non-threaded hole on the short one makes placing the head on quick and easy, but it feels less secure to me. I don’t know if this is standard, or I just happened to get ones like that.
Either way, the head stands still work great for holding my extra heads, or while I style their hair.

The threaded design in the connector screw hole of the tall wooden stand was actually added based on feedback from previous doll owners, who suggested that adding threads would make the stand more stable when holding the doll head. So, we modified a batch of tall wooden stands, and the one you received is from this batch.
At the same time, as you mentioned, this design does make it a bit less convenient to remove the doll head, so for now, we haven’t applied this modification to all stands.
If you’d like to make the head even more secure when placing it on the stand, you can try wrapping a small rubber band around the connector. This can also help increase stability.

As another described i ordered the tall stand too cause i actually also dealing with longer wigs so its nice to have that extra little height so far it works wonderful it isnt 100% stable but its good enough to a point where i am happy with the stability. For this price point it looks good and feels good and also good quality for the price its hard not to recommend wether you choose lower or higher stand depends on you and your usability so it’s very nice to see options size options 🙂

However, please be careful when using it to avoid accidentally knocking the stand over and having your doll head fall to the ground, which would be quite distressing. We also recommend placing the stand somewhere it won’t be easily bumped for extra safety.
If you have dolls with shorter hairstyles, you might want to try out the shorter wooden head stand as well. I believe its stability will be very satisfying for you.

It’s a beautiful way to display a dol head with wig. It’s only two parts so It’s easy to put together. Yes, it could have had a weight on the bottom, but it works fine. Coeros has very helpful staff, very open communicative style. I enjoy ordering from them.

An aesthetically pleasing and well-finished stand.
I have the small and tall models. Both are stable.
As Aricson says in his review, the Zelex heads with a quick connector attached to the head have a slight wobble and lean forward slightly. I fixed this with a small piece of cardboard, but the screw adapter shown in Aricson’s review is the best solution.
The other heads, where I can screw the M16 screw directly into them, hold perfectly without any wobble.

I got the tall head stand because I’m usually dealing with longer wigs. It looks nice and is great quality material. Although the base appeared somewhat narrow to me, it’s been stable even while I fuss with wigs. I’m still mindful about the stability as I’m making adjustments, but haven’t had any problems.

I can’t stress how professional their customer service is. The company is based in China, but reply in fluent English and love their oversees customers.
I ordered the tall stand for my Zelex Inspiration Series extra head. Before I purchased the head stand, I asked if a Zelex Inspiration series head would mount on the stand. I’m glad I asked, as they said they would send me a M16 screw adapter free of charge if I mentioned it in the order instructions. They sent me two M16 bolt adapters with different length. Both work fine, but I prefer the shorter bolt. You can also remove the screw that normally comes with the stand out and simply place a Zelex Inspiration series head directly in the hole at the top of the stand, but it does have a very slight wobble if you do. The bolt adapters fit my Zelex head firmly into the stand without any wobble.
The stand itself looks beautiful and feels like quality wood. I am very happy with this stand and will probably be ordering another head stand.
Coeros shipped the stand a two days after ordering and took a 10 days to arrive to me in Southern California. It’s probably best to choose the Paypal option for payment as the Credit Card option initially didn’t work for me.
